Nestled in the remote and picturesque landscape near Grey River, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Grey River Atlantic salmon fishing lodge offers a secluded getaway for fishing enthusiasts. This unique property is accessible primarily by helicopter, adding an exclusive and private element to its charm.
Facilities and Accommodations
The lodge comprises several buildings with a combined area of over 3,200 square feet. The main lodge itself is a robust structure built on a wood and concrete foundation, boasting 1,929 square feet of space. Adjacent to it is a secondary lodge providing an additional 930 square feet of rustic accommodations. Additionally, three storage sheds contribute another 393 square feet, perfect for equipment and supply storage.
Building Specifications and Utilities
Exterior: The lodges feature a wood/log construction with the main lodge roof made from wood log systems, complemented by plywood and metal in other areas.
Interior: Inside the main lodge, you'll find a blend of hardwood and ceramic tile flooring, walls made of log paired with pine interior panels, and ceilings of pine throughout. The secondary lodge includes floors of painted plywood and ceilings of log/wood lats, ensuring a consistent rustic theme.
Utilities: Equipped with modern amenities, the lodge supports a 200 amp single-phase electrical system and benefits from LED lighting across all buildings. Heating is provided via electrical baseboards and a wood stove in the main lodge, with an additional wood stove in the secondary lodge.
Additional Features
Extras: The property includes a water pump, multiple generators (Honda EU3000, Champion 4000, and a Yan-mar small diesel generator), two solar panels, and two deep freezers. Also, available are an array of tools and two aluminum boats (14' Smoker craft and 12'), enhancing the outdoor adventure experience.
Accommodations: Well-maintained over the years, the lodge's infrastructure and additional buildings have been kept in good condition, with regular upgrades and maintenance to both the structures and the included extras.
